The apartment is only suitable for quiet guests. ✨ About this space This modern studio apartment offers a comfortable and practical base in Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s most vibrant and creative neighbourhoods. With its private entrance directly from the street, the space feels like your own little city hideaway — perfect for couples, friends, solo travellers, or small families. The main sleeping area features a 160×200 cm double bed with two individual duvets. The sofa bed (140×200 cm) sleeps two persons. The open layout combines sleeping, relaxing, and dining in one thoughtfully designed room. The fully equipped kitchen includes a ceramic cooktop, fridge, toaster, kettle, and French press. Basic supplies like salt, pepper, tea, and coffee are usually available. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink, towels, and a hairdryer. An iron and ironing board are also provided. There is no TV, but Wi‑Fi is available for your devices. Families will appreciate the high chair, children’s dishes, toys, and books. A baby bed can be added for an extra fee (depending on availability). From its "past life" it still has big windows which overlook the street. You might hear some street sounds. Since it is located in a commercial space, it has been legally allowed by the city of Berlin and does not take away living space from Berlin residents. So you can stay here without having bad a conscious about contributing to the city's housing issues. As our guest you will have the whole apartment to yourself. You won’t have to share it with anybody else. Once you have booked you will receive a welcome email from us with information about the check in procedure and extensive recommendations for activities, sightseeing, restaurants and bars in Berlin. For the check in, we will deposit the keys for you inside a lockbox at the entrance to the apartment. During your stay with us we will also be there for you by email or phone. The apartment is located on Straßmannstraße in the Friedrichshain district. On the same street as the apartment you will find a couple of local cafes, bars and restaurants. A little bakery is right opposite of the apartment where you can get fresh buns for your breakfast. 200 meters down the street is “Pomodorino”, one of Berlin’s best pizza joints. It's tasty, quick, authentic and cheap. Right opposite of Pomodorino is a playground, so on a sunny day you can grab a slice to go and enjoy the sun while watching your children play. 10 minutes’ walk down the main street is “Volkspark Friedrichshain”. This large and popular park, with a fairytale fountain, film showings and beer gardens, is a nice place for hanging out in the summer. For those who prefer a more active holiday it offers facilities for jogging, beach volleyball, bouldering and tennis! Only 100 meters away from the apartment is the tram stop “Straßmannstraße”. The "M10" tram line will quickly take you to the East Side Gallery, the longest still intact piece of the Berlin Wall that has been painted by graffiti artists, and the neighbouring buzzing nightlife areas Simon-Dach-Straße and Revaler Straße with the quirky RAW Gelände. From the East Side Gallery it is only a short walk across the river and you are in the popular Kreuzberg district, which is a great place to look out for street art, hang out in the Görlitzer Park (which locals call Görli), or go out drinking or clubbing. Taking the M10 in the other direction will take you to the Prenzlauer Berg district with its many restaurants, cafes, boutique shops and its famous Mauerpark flea market with outdoor karaoke and the Berlin wall walk and Berlin wall memorial. Excellent public transportation connections take you into the Mitte district in about 20 minutes, where you can visit main Berlin attractions such as the Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) or Hackescher Markt. From there you can walk to the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial and Checkpoint Charlie. The M10 tram stops only a couple of meters away from the apartment. The name of the closest stop is "Straßmannstraße". BABY COT can be booked for a surcharge, subject to availability. INTERNET Available via wifi. LINEN & TOWELS Bed linen and 1 hand towel + 1 bath towel per person are included. Extra towels cost extra and need to be ordered prior to arrival. PARKING Free public parking is available on the street in front of the apartment. It can, however, take a little bit to find a free spot. EASY ACCESS The apartment is located on the ground floor and therefore easily accessible, without heavy doors in the way, or steps to climb. CITY TAX Berlin charges a 7.5% City Tax, payable via our pre‑check‑in tool. This tax has to be paid on top of the price you pay on Airbnb. For more information please refer to the federal state of Berlin website. MONITORING We use smart home technology to improve your experience. Minut is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Minut is privacy compliant. DOCUMENTS If you are a foreign national we need copies of the passports / IDs of every person who will be staying in the apartment. This is due to § 29 - Bundesmeldegesetz (BMG). The documents and information are collected by us using a Pre-Check In tool from chargeautomation. In the course of the Pre-Check In you also have possibility to pay the City Tax.
