The aparment is located on the ground floor and has been lovingly rennovated and converted from a former upholstery workshop. Since it is located in a commercial space, it is legally allowed and does not take away living space from Berlin residents. So you can stay here without having a bad consicous about contributing to the city's housing issues.
GARDEN
A lovely communal garden is right in front of your kitchen, which is also the entrance to your apartment. There is a bench in the garden and we also have two garden chairs and a picknick blanket inside the apartment. You can take them outside and use them. Please put them back into the apartment after use so that they don't get stolen. Thank you!
Due to its location out back, the garden apartment is more quiet than the ones overlooking the street, but there is a train passing behind the house which can be heard.
As our guest you will have the whole apartment to yourself. You won’t have to share it with anybody else.
You will also have access to the communal garden and you may use the bicycle cellar to store your bike.
Once you have booked you will receive a welcome email from us with information about the check in procedure and extensive recommendations for activities, sightseeing, restaurants and bars in Berlin.
For the check in, we will deposit the keys for you inside a lockbox at the entrance to the apartment.

Our apartment is located in a residential area of the beautiful and trendy Prenzlauer Berg district, known for its thriving café and art gallery culture.
In the Prenzlauer Berg you will find plenty of restaurants, kitsch boutiques and alternative-style bars. The popular Kollwitzplatz and Helmholzplatz are a leisurely 20-25 min stroll away, same as the Kulturbrauerei, an old brewery with shops, nightlife and a free museum about life in the DDR. Not far from there are the Berlin wall walk and Berlin wall memorial.
If you are in Berlin on a Sunday, don't miss the nearby Mauerpark with its large flea market and renowned outdoor karaoke. A must see, especially on a sunny day!
Not too far from the apartment is “Volkspark Friedrichshain”. This large and popular park, with a fairytale fountain, film showings and beer gardens, is a nice place for hanging out in the summer. For those who prefer a more active holiday it offers facilities for jogging, beach volleyball, bouldering and tennis!
Excellent public transport connections take you into Mitte in about 15 minutes, where you can visit main Berlin attractions such as the Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) or Hackescher Markt.
From there you can walk to the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial and Checkpoint Charlie.
The tram M10 and the S-Bahn connect the Prenzlauer Berg with Friedrichshain where you can visit the famous East Side Gallery, the longest still intact piece of the Berlin Wall that has been painted by graffiti artists. Friedrichshain also has some buzzing night life areas such as the Simon-Dach-Straße and the Revaler Straße with the quirky RAW Gelände.
From the East Side Gallery it is only a short walk across the river and you are in the popular Kreuzberg district, which is a great place to look out for street art, hang out in Görlitzer Park (which locals call Görli), or go out drinking or clubbing.
The apartment is located in one of the more residential neighborhoods of the Prenzlauer Berg, but you can get everywhere quickly without having to come back to a lot of hustle and bustle. Grocery stores and fast food places (great Döner) are just around the corner. An authentic Bavarian restaurant is also just down the street.
The train and tram station "Greifswalder Straße" is only 200m away and will take you directly to:
* the Alexander Platz - 10 minutes.
* the Museum Island with the famous Berliner Dom, Hackescher Markt - 15 minutes
Or with one change of trains to
