Centrally located studio perfect for couples and people who are looking for an authentic Berlin experience in one of Berlin's most popular neighborhoods. Free public parking is available about 500 meters away from the apartment. The train and tram station and two supermarkets are only 200m away. The space This lovely studio apartment is located on the ground floor of a typical Berlin period building and has its own private entrance. The main living area has comfortable queen size bed (160x200), a stylish couch that can be converted into a double bed (184x196), and a wardrobe. All our duvets are single duvets and the bed has two single matrasses. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, including an oven and hub, microwave, toaster, french press coffee maker, espresso maker and kettle. There is also a bar with 4 bar stools where you can sit comfortably and enjoy your breakfast. There is usually some tea, coffee, salt etc. in the kichen. The apartment does not have a TV, that's why we recommand bringing a laptop. We are happy to share our Netflix account. The bathroom is has a shower cabin, sink, towel heater and a hair dryer. The aparment has been lovingly rennovated and converted from an old uphostery workshop. From its "past life" it still has big windows which overlook the street. The windows were recently updated with tripple glazing. Since it is located in an former commercial space, it is legally allowed and does not take away living space from Berlin residents. So you can stay here without having a bad consicous about contributing to the city's housing issues. GARDEN A garden is at the rear of the building that you may use at any time. It is not directly adjacent to the apartment, but it can be accessed via the building’s main entrance. Guest access As our guest you will have the whole apartment to yourself. You won’t have to share it with anybody else. You will also have access to the sunny communal garden located at the rear of the building. You may also use the bicycle cellar to store your bike. Other details to note BABY COT 40 EUR / stay, subject to availability INTERNET Available via wifi. The router is in the apartment next door. LINEN & TOWELS Bed linen and 1 hand towel + 1 bath towel per person are included. Extra towels cost extra and need to be ordered 1 week prior to your arrival. PARKING Free public parking is available 500 meters away from the apartment. The apartment is just outside the Umweltzone, so the Green Umweltzone sticker is only necessary should you want to drive into or through the city centre. EASY ACCESS The apartment is located on the ground floor and therefore easily accessible, without heavy doors in the way, or steps to climb. CITY TAX Since the 1st of January 2014 all private Berlin visitors have to pay the so called City Tax. This 5% tax has to be paid on top of the price you pay on airbnb. For more information please refer to the federal state of Berlin website. DOCUMENTS If you are a foreign national we need copies of the passports / IDs of every person who will be staying in the apartment. This is due to § 29 - Bundesmeldegesetz (BMG). [If COVID numbers increase and COVID regulations are activated again we may also require the following information about each person staying in the apartment: * COVID prove of vaccination or recovery. Depending on the state of the pandemic a negative test may have to be provided additionally or in its stead. * Name and Surname * Phone number * full address * e-mail] The documents and information are collected by us using a Pre-Check In tool from chargeautomation. In the course of the Pre-Check In you also have possibility to pay the City Tax. MONITORING We use smart home technology to improve your experience. Minut is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Minut is privacy compliant. Interaction with guests Once you have booked you will receive a welcome email from us with information about the check in procedure and extensive recommendations for activities, sightseeing, restaurants and bars in Berlin. For the check in, we will deposit the keys for you inside a lockbox at the entrance to the apartment. During your stay with us we will also be there for you by email or phone.
