The space
You will be renting our private apartment, so we ask that you treat our property with care and that no food or drinks be consumed on the couch in the living room. Thank you.
The living room / kitchen area has a comfortable couch and overlooks a sunny garden
The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, including an oven and hub, a toaster, espresso machine and kettle. There is also a bar with 3 bar stools where you can sit comfortably and enjoy your breakfast.
The apartment does not have a TV, that's why we recommand bringing a laptop. We are happy to share our Netflix account.
The master bedroom, which faces the street, has a king size (180x200) bed with two single matrasses and single duvets. The big windows have been updated with tripple-glazing and electronic shutters so you can black out the bedroom.
The bathroom is also newly furnished and has a shower/bathtub, sink, toilet and a hair dryer.
The aparment is located on the ground floor and has been lovingly rennovated and converted from a former travel agency. Since it is located in a commercial space, it is legally allowed and does not take away living space from Berlin residents. So you can stay here without having a bad consicous about contributing to the city's housing issues.
GARDEN
A sunny communal garden is right in front of your living room, which is also the entrance to your apartment. There is a bench in the garden and a couple of trees. The lilac smells beautifully in the spring.
The garden is rather quiet. But there is a train passing behind the house which be heard.
Guest access
You are allowed to use the living room / kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There is another room that we use for storage and keep locked. Please do not enter it.

LINEN & TOWELS
Bed linen and 1 hand towel + 1 bath towel per person are included. Extra towels cost extra and need to be ordered 1 week prior to your arrival.
PARKING
Free public parking can be found about 500 meters away from the apartment.
EASY ACCESS:
The apartment is located on the ground floor in a quiet courtyard and is therefore easily accessible.
CITY TAX
Since the 1st of January 2014 all private Berlin visitors have to pay the so called City Tax. This 5% tax has to be paid on top of the price you pay on airbnb.

DOCUMENTS
If you are a foreign national we need copies of the passports / IDs of every person who will be staying in the apartment. This is due to § 29 - Bundesmeldegesetz (BMG).
The documents and information are collected by us using a Pre-Check In tool from chargeautomation. In the course of the Pre-Check In you also have possibility to pay the City Tax.
MONITORING
We use smart home technology to improve your experience. Minut is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Minut is privacy compliant.
Interaction with guests
Once you have booked you will receive a welcome email from us with information about the check in procedure and extensive recommendations for activities, sightseeing, restaurants and bars in Berlin.
For the check in, we will deposit the keys for you inside a lockbox at the entrance to the apartment.
During your stay with us we will also be there for you by email or phone.
